Guest Designer for AAA Birthday Game #6 Colour Palette

Hello everyone.  I'm excited to be guest designing at AAA Birthday today for their game #6 colour palette challenge.



I had a different birthday card initially, but it was too busy and cluttered.  So I went back to my preferred CAS style and let the colours pop against all that crisp white space.


Started by stamping the mouse with Copic friendly black ink on a scrap of Copic friendly paper.  Did some simple shading with cool gray Copic markers, then fussy cut him out.  


Birthday was then die cut from a scrap of Bristol paper and its shadow from a scrap of black cardstock  Using Zig markers, coloured the birthday diecut sentiment in a gradient of red, orange and yellow to meet the colour challenge.  White heat embossed the happy sentiment (retired) onto a black strip, then assembled all the pieces onto a stitched rectangle panel from my stash.  For some dimension, Crystal Glaze added to birthday finished off the card.

    Congratulations on guesting at AAA, Trina!
    Your zig coloring and Copic shading are so beautiful. I especially love the shiny and gradient die-cut sentiment!
    The colors really pop against the black shadow and the white space! The little mouse, standing on sentiment and holding "happy" is so adorable!
