WCMD 2020 - Warm Cocoa Wishes

Hello there.  Didn’t get a chance to take the photos till today, but I made this clean and simple (CAS) Christmas card yesterday for World Card Making Day (WCMD).


The cute little mouse from new NBUS Simon Says Stamp Cocoa and Love was stamped on X-Press It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.  It was initially stamped directly on a stitched rectangle panel, but ink smears forced me to fussy cut it out. 😝 


A panel was then die cut from Bristol paper with My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle Set 1 die.  Adhered a ground mask and added aqua dye ink with a blender brush for the background.  Spritz it with water and blot with a paper towel to give it texture.  Black heat embossed the sentiment from Your Next Stamp Cool Tag Banner Sentiments.  Adhered the image to the panel then added shading under him to finish.


There are a few other WCMD challenges I’m hoping to participate in.  But that’s it for now.  Thank you for dropping by.  Enjoy your day,

    This is adorable Trina! You always find the most amazing critter images!! LOVE how you've coloured this sweet mouse with his warm cup of cocoa. Fussy-cutting gives him more dimension over the lovely blue blended background. xx
