Delivering Holiday Cheer

Hello everyone.  I’m popping in to share a simple holiday card inspired by some challenges.  I used another unused (NBUS) stamp illustrated by Stacey Yacula from Purple Onion Designs (POD) called Flannel (raccoon pulling sled with gifts).

Started by die cutting a piece of Xpress It cardstock with an A2 size stitch rectangle die (retired).  Stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it with Copic Sketch markers.

Next, used a birch tree die (retired) to die cut a DIY stencil from acetate.  Masked off the top area and positioned the stencil over the image, then carefully and lightly blended SU! Smoky Slate dye ink through the stencil with a blender brush, fading out towards the image.  The sentiment from POD Holiday Messages was then black heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Mounted the panel onto a white card base, then added snow with a white gel pen to finish.  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

I'm sure the little guy will bring cheer to whomever will receive the presents. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.

  16. Terrifically cute card. The birch tree background is a perfect fit for a darling winter scene like this. We are fortunate to have a small cluster of birches in our backyard and I could easily imagine a woodland critter or two pulling a sled past them as well. :)
