CAS Christmas June Challenge - Wreath

Hello everyone.  CAS Christmas card challenge is back after a short break!  We are sad to see Cathy step down from the design team, but are delighted to welcome Lisa Elton (My Paper Tales).  This month’s theme is WREATH.

Here’s my card.

The pine needles were die cut from scraps of Bristol paper using Pine Needle Trio dies from Memory Box (MB).  Arranged and glued the pine needles onto a ring that was also die cut from Bristol paper using MB Circle Basics dies.  Backed the opening with MB white woodgrain paper then die cut the berries from alcohol marker friendly cardstock using MB Mistletoe Bundle.  Coloured them with Copic Sketch markers, then added a highlight dot to each berry with a white Gelly roll pen

Didn’t have a bow die I like (need to remedy that with some retail therapy 😉), so decided to add a cardinal (retired) instead to keep with the red and white colour scheme.  It was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly cardstock and coloured with the same markers used for the berries.  The sentiment from the same set was white heat embossed on black cardstock.  Fussy cut both the cardinal and sentiment out, then assembled the card onto a Bristol stitched rectangle panel from my stash to finish.

Ready to work on your Christmas cards?  Sue (Sue’s Card Craft) is our guest this month.  If you need more inspirations to join us, click HERE.  Thank you for stopping by.
