CHRISTMAS
'Tis the season so it had to be a one layer Christmas card. Started by making a top folding card base from mixed media paper. Stamped with black Archival ink the hoofs and scarf, masked them then stamped the moose reindeer from the same set. Masked the reindeer then die cut a reverse circle mask. Ink blended Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers distress inks (di) within the circle to create the background.
Removed masks and coloured in with Zig markers and a waterclor brush. I couldn't resist incorporating rainbow colours. The sentiment also from the same set was black heat embossed. For some interest, added the diagonal stripes on the left side by sponging Black Soot di through a diagonal stripe stencil (retired). Added Nuvo Crystal Glaze on the lights and clear shimmer to the scarf to finish.

He’s a little cutie Trina! Love how he’s peeping out of the circle and your blending is as masterfull as your colouring. You fooled me with the diagonal stripes (I thought it was Washi tape) but that stencil is a fantastic way to add more detail to the design. Thank you so much for your beautiful cards and hard work for us this year. Have a lovely break in December xx
This is so cute, love that little fella peeping out to say hi. Awesome masking, blending and colouring as always, so wonderfully executed. You had me fooled too, I also thought that was washi tape, what a fabulous idea for a CAS accent (sending to the memory bank!) xx

Fantastic job with this one-layer holiday CAS card, Trina! I love it! The reindeer, peeking from the circle window, is so adorable with the fun & shiny rainbow lights & scarf! I thought the diagonal stripes were washi tape! Now it's truly one-layer with the stenciled stripes!!

A great one layer card (something I really am no good at!)! Love the cute reindeer with his rainbow scarf and rainbow lights. And the black diagonal stripes on the edge add lots of interest.
Love the one layer and his hoofs along the edge. Darling image and love the lights. The added stripes is the perfect touch. Always love seeing your creations.

Your moose reindeer is super adorable, Trina, and colored beautifully in those rainbow hues! I love the depth from the sponged circle behind him and the extremely clever way you added that stripe which looks just like Washi tape!
