HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOLLY!!
We all made a birthday card based on this month's challenge theme - Bouquet of Flowers.
As a featured designer, Dolly played a major role in my card. One morning at the retreat back in May, Dolly accidentally spilt a large Costco-size bag of frozen blueberries all over the floor. Unfortunately, I was still asleep when this occurred, but luckily Bonnie had her phone with her and captured the moment.
Unable to find a broom, Dolly used cardstock to pick them up. As they thawed, it left a cool design. Without her knowing, Loll kept the cardstock and cut it up for us to use as backgrounds on our cards. Here's what each side of my piece looked like.
Don't miss out on the special celebration over on the CW blog HERE. You will find more inspirations from the CW design team, their guest designer Leslie and the other featured designers there. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!
Since this is a clean and simple (CAS) challenge, I went with the one on the left and trimmed it down to create this card.
Dolly's role in my card went beyond the blueberry background. The sweet bear image was provided by Dolly when she taught us a watercoloring technique at the retreat. Simply pick up colour with a waterbrush off of a watercolor pencil to watercolour. So simple and so effective. Loved how much control I had with this technique. Thanks, Dolly!
After watercoloring was completed and dried, the sentiment was heat embossed with Liquid Platinum embossing powder to finish.

Aaahhh...your sweet beary with a bouquet was perfect for Dolly's special birthday surprise, Tanya. TFS your blueberry smooshed samples before you made your card. Great idea to just show the edges of your sample. Now you have another sample to play with in the future. Love and Hugs...Nancy
