Hello there. Whimsy Stamps (WS) has another Christmas / winter release out today! I’m starting with foiling gold Decofoil through a laminator using this pattern from the fabulous new A2 Festive Holidays toner card front pack…
…to create this simple Christmas card.
Of course, “ho ho ho” always makes me think of Santa. But since I had a gold Santa sleigh left over from a previous card, I put it to use here. Dies from the Pierced and Stitched Circles die set were used to die cut a circle opening from the panel and then a smaller circle opening from gold foil to layer behind. The sleigh was mounted onto vellum. Assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.
Each toner card front pack consists of 2 each of 4 designs, so the other panel was foiled with iridescent Decofoil.
Stamped Santa and Rudolph from Santa’s Magic with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly cardstock and coloured with Copic Sketch markers. Masked them and the snowy ground, then white heat embossed the trees from Holiday Snowglobe. Ink blended Milled Lavender and Seedless Preserves distress inks for the background, then wiped off excess ink with a paper towel.
Used the oval base layer die from the new Let It Snow die set next to die cut the image out. Die cut a couple more ovals from thick white paper and stacked for dimension. Assembled the card to finish.
Here’s a glimpse of some new product inspirations from the design team.

Two marvelous cards!
ReplyDeletebeautiful use of the foiling paper and two great cards ♥
ReplyDeleteSuch fabulous backgrounds for both your cards! Foiling is another technique that I always forget to use, thanks for the inspirations and to remember it to me! :)
ReplyDeleteThe first one with the sleight on vellum looks just gorgeous, and the 2nd one is my favourite because of the violet shades and the cute couple sit for the souvenir photo :D Just adorable! Fantastic colouring as always and love the embossed trees!
I've not done the toner foiling but I love the results you achieved, Trina! Card one is gorgeous with all the gold and I love the sweet Santa scene atop the iridescent foil too!!
ReplyDeleteTrina, I love both of these cards but that pink background with the Santa and reindeer are my favorite! Thank you for sharing with us at SAS4Kids!
ReplyDeleteSanta's sleigh looks so elegant and polished, Trina! I love how it plays against the vellum and the background is fantastic! Santa and Rudolph are colored perfectly and I love the background! The trees work perfectly!
