Hello everyone. I’m back today to share another inspiration from Whimsy Stamps (WS) last release of the year. I used the new Arctic Friends stamp set to create a dimensional shadow box card.
Stamped the arctic critters with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly cardstock, coloured them with Copic Sketch markers, then fussy cut them out.
Seal - W00, W1, W3, 0
Narwhal - V000, V01, V04, V17
Whale - BV000, BV02, BV13, BV04, BV17, C00, C1
Fish - Y02, YR02, YR09
Used mixed media paper to construct the box base and inside strips following these directions. The opening and the opening frame were die cut with the Pierced and Stitched Circles die set. The inside strips were die cut with the Stitched Border Die Trio die set.
Blender brushes were used to ink blend Salvaged Patina and Uncharted Mariner distress inks (DI) on the inside box walls and strips. Splattered with water and blot with a paper towel for texture. Coloured the circle frame with Uncharted Mariner DI. Heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock with white embossing powder.
Adhered the critters to the strips to complete the scene. Completed size when assembled and popped up is 5” wide x 5”high x 1.5” deep. It folds flat to 5”x6.5” and fits easily into a 5”x7” envelope.
