Stamped the gargoyle with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of alcohol marker friendly cardstock, coloured with Copic Sketch markers and fussy cut out.
Copic markers used:
gargoyle - C0, C2, C3, C5, C6, 100
pinks - RV02, RV04, RV09
aquas -BG10, BG11, BG34
For the background, applied white pigment ink over a Brick Pattern stencil with a foam blending tool on a black A2 panel. Dried it with the heat tool before heat embossing the sentiment with white embossing powder. Adhered the panel onto a black card base then popped up the gargoyle with foam adhesive to finish.

He looks like an ornery little fella, but he's cute!
your birthday Gargoyle is so cute and love him against the black card with the brick wall :)
Trina, this Gargoyle is so cute, far from Gothic scary one! Your coloring and shadowing of the birthday boy is excellent! I always enjoy looking at your Copic color list and looking back at your amazing coloring. :-) Great brick stenciling on the black background too.

I'm impressed by this gargoyle, I find him both scary and cute, ambiguous as those of Notre Dame are :D. Your design compliments so well the stamp with the black and white choice plus a bit of colours! Well done!
Such an amazing card, I love the black background from which this funny birthday scene emerges. I love this card
