Peekaboo Window 5

Hello there.  Today I have more inspirations from Whimsy Stamps (WS) April 20th mini release.  I am featuring the new Peekaboo Window 5 die.  For my first card, I used the window die cut in landscape orientation to act as a window for my fun scene.

The gargoyle from Gargoyle Birthday was stamped, coloured and fussy cut out at the same time when this card was made.  The background was stencilled with a blender brush and Salty Ocean distress ink over the It’s Cloudy stencil.

The sentiment from Killer Friend was stamped in black directly on the background panel with some strategic masking to get it on one line.  Before moving the stamp to get the second part of the sentiment, the window die cut was temporarily adhered to the panel before stamping the first part of the sentiment on top of the window for a seamless look.  Added the three dots with a black pen, then assembled the card to finish.

For my second card, the window die cut was used in portrait orientation to create a sweet little scene.

The skunk image from Odorable Skunks was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, coloured with Copic Sketch markers (C0,, C1, C2, C5, 100) then fussy cut out.

Ink blended Mowed Lawn and Shaded Lilac distress inks in the background panel.  Added grass blades with Copic Sketch marker YG67.  Die cut the Bold ABC letters 3x each from white scraps and stacked them for dimension.  Assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.

  2. Such cute and fun cards, Trina, so impressive! That dreaming gargoyle puts a big smile on my face, as well the hugging couple of skunks, how sweet :) Your masking is always perfect, I can't understand how you have done to put the sentiment both on top of the window and on the panel! Love the stencilled clouds and the dimension of the sentiment in the second card!
    Have a lovely day

  9. Adorable card Trina and really made me smile here. I worked out that your snippets are the panels left from the card you made previously with the cut out windows. We do ask people to actually say what their snippets are but it was pretty obvious when I followed the link in your blog post. The previous card is great too I might add! So nice to see you here with us as I know you have a busy life. So sorry I missed your Birthday - hope you had a lovely day!

    Hugs
    Di xx
