Hello everyone. First off, happy Independence Day to my friends/neighbours in the US… hope you are enjoying your holiday. For today, I am featuring the new Smiley Hello circle die set from Whimsy Stamps (WS) latest release.
The smiley faces were die cut from white scraps, and various brands of dye inks in rainbow colours were ink blended on with blender brushes. The smallest die from the Pierced and Stitched Circles set was then used to die cut from black scraps to back the smiley faces.
White heat embossed the birthday sentiment from Gargoyle Birthday on black cardstock next. Adhered the “smile” letters from the same die set, then die cut out with a pierced and stitched circle die. Added clear shimmer to the smiley faces for some sparkle before assembling the card to finish.
For my second card, I kept the circle icons classic yellow and black. Instead of die cutting from white and ink blending, they were die cut from yellow scraps.
The Envelope Edger dies were used to create the faux envelope. The background is Bristol paper ombré ink blended diagonally with Wilted Violet distress oxide ink.
Stamped the sentiment from Simple Sentiment Strips in black. Assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.
The July new release products are HERE. WS products used for my cards are linked below. Thank you for stopping by.
