Hello there. I have a couple of Christmas cards to share today featuring the adorable Christmas Doggies stamp and die sets from Whimsy Stamps (WS) September release. First up is the mini slimline (SL).
All images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly cardstock, coloured with Copic Sketch markers then die cut out with their matching dies.
Copic markers used:
brown - E31/23/27/29
pink - RV00/52/63/55
gift bag - YG01/03/09
holly leaves - YG61/63/67
The Mini Slim Pickens 1 was die cut from Bristol paper and the background Blurry Flurries paper was trimmed to 3x6-inch. Heat embossed the “holidays” sentiment from Happy Sayings directly on the pattern paper with gold embossing powder. Die cut the Happy Large word from gold foil paper. Cut off the “H” and die cut another “y” for a punny sentiment. Assembled the card onto a white 3.25x6.25-inch card base to finish.
For my second card, I wanted to use the Enchanted Forest die for a wintry scene. Salvaged Patina distress ink was ink blended behind it.
The Stitched Border Trio was then used to die cut a snowy slope. Fussy cut the doggie image to remove the unwanted surrounding details.
Assembled the card onto a white card base then splattered with diluted white gouache paint for falling snow. White heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock to finish.

ReplyDeletepopping over from September Rudolph Days Challenge, great inspiration you shared here with smaller Christmas theme stamps. Beautiful cards indeed!
ReplyDeleteAMAZING colouring, as always!!! Love so much both those super cute cards, the first one have a fabulous festive feel with the foiled background and the second one is my favourite, such a lovely and fun scene! The diecut trees seem so different by those on your past Halloween card, love the white and blue!!

These pups are adorable and fun, Trina! I love the background paper. It looks like a shaker but so much easier!
ReplyDeleteTwo very cute dog-themed cards! Love the use of the frame die on the first one so that you could set each dog in its own opening. The forest die works as a perfect background for the dog on his toboggan!
ReplyDeleteThese pups are so totally adorable, Trina. LOVE the scenes you've created. xx
ReplyDeleteI love your WS stamp cards, they are so amazing and always fun. I love your way of coloring, you get beautiful depth and chiaroscuro. In the second card you created a stunning forest scene, I love it and love the idea.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your Christmas cards are so darn cute. Those puppy images are so fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in the Rudolph Days Challenge.
