Since Mother’s Day is on Sunday, I created a CAS (clean and simple) card with two flowers and two letter m’s.
Instead of foiling, the flower press/foil plate was inked in black and pressed onto thick white cardstock using the BetterPress system from Spellbinders. The plan was to leave it as is, but I couldn't do it 😂*lol* and had to add shading. I did compromise and added shading only to the leaves with a grey Polychromos pencil. 🤗
The ”m-o-m” letters were die cut from white glitter paper and ombré coloured with R14/27/46/89 Copic Sketch markers. The sentiment strip was white heat embossed on pitch black cardstock then die cut out with the coordinating strip die. Assembled the card onto a white card base and finished off with a few clear jewels from Memory Box.

So classy, Trina! It would be hard not to add color to these pretty flowers, but leaving them makes the beautiful sentiment stand out!

What a great take on the challenge with two roses and two "m's". Love the roses left plain without colouring.
ReplyDeleteA stunning card. I love that it’s the letters that bring color to this design, the flowers being left neutrally colored. Thanks for sharing this with us over at Inkspirational.
