Stay Crafty with A Blog Naned Hero December 2024 Challenge - Deck the Hall

Hello everyone.  We’ve reached the final challenge in 2024 for the Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero challenge over on the Hero Arts (HA) blog.  Appropriately, the December theme is DECK THE HALL

*affiliate links used in this post when possible at no extra cost to you… thank you for your support*

HA products used:
▪️Light & Mug Tag fancy dies
▪️Nesting Oval dies

Lately, I’m having fun animating objects on Christmas cards (see coffee cup HERE).  This time, I gave the lights some personality. 😂

The lights were die cut from Cherry Red, Key Lime and silver foil paper.  Added shading to them by ink blending Lumberjack Plaid or Mowed Lawn distress inks (DI) using finger blending brushes.  Lightly ink blended the same colours onto a Bristol panel for the glow effect from the lights.

The eyes were die cut from black and white cardstock with the two smallest dies in the oval die set.  The white oval negative piece was used as a template todraw the mouths with a black marker.  Used the same marker to draw the strings.  Stamped the sentiments with Versafine Onyx Black ink then heat embossed with clear glitter embossing powder for a bit of sparkle.  Mounted the panel onto a white card base to finish.

With changes coming in the new year, this may be your final opportunity to enter for a chance to win one of two $50 gift cards to HA.  Use at least one HA brand product to qualify.  To see more inspirations and link up your entry, click HERE. If sharing on Instagram, please tag @ablognamedhero and include hashtags #heroarts and #staycraftychallenge.  The challenge ends at 5:00 pm PT on Sunday, January 5, 2025.  Thank you for stopping by.

What adorable light bulbs, Trina!! Love the glow & their little eyes - what a great way to add them without the bulk of googly eyes!! Must try it!!
