Sparkly Christmas Tree

Hello there.  It’s the last day of January and inspiration hit for another clean and simple (CAS) tree Christmas card.

To reduce its size, new Tree confetti cut from Reverse Confetti was partially die cut on a stitch mixed media panel from my stash.  This die gives a negative cut and I was going to make a shaker card, but then decided to keep it really simple.  Gathered up some scraps of glitter paper and die cut them from the different sections then inlaid them into the panel.

The Joy Word die is from SugarPea Designs.  It was die cut from a scrap of black foil paper and it’s shadow was die cut from a scrap of vellum.  The second part of the sentiment from Waffle Flowers Oversized Joy stamp set was black heat embossed directly on the panel.  For a bit of dimension, mounted the panel onto a white card base with a thick piece of white paper cut slightly smaller and adhered the Joy diecut  to finish.

Super simple and sparkly, don’t you think?  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Uniko Challenge #51 Reminder - Love

Hello everyone!  This is the reminder post for my guest spot at Uniko Challenges for their challenge #51 Anything Goes optional twist Love.

I have a bunch of birthdays coming up in the next two months, so I didn't twist this time and created a fun CAS birthday card.  I already own several "space" themed stamps, but I couldn't pass up a super deal on this adorable To Infinity & Beyond stamp set over the holidays.  I used just this set and stamped with Copic friendly black ink on an A2 sized piece of X-press It cardstock to create this.

Started by stamping the puppy then masked.  Stamped the rocket next then masked.  Placed a stripe stencil (retired) over top and sponged on Basic Grey ink (retired).  Removed the stencil and sponged on Smoky Slate ink.  Mixed white acrylic paint with water and splattered to complete the background.

Removed the masks then coloured the images with Copics.  The sentiment was white heat embossed on a black strip.  Die cut the panel out with a stitched rectangle die.  Adhered the panel to a white card base and added Crystal Glaze to the helmet (not sure if that's the name) to finish.

That does it for me.  You have until February 22 to enter this challenge.  For more inspirations, head on over to the Uniko blog post HERE.  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day!
