Jane’s Doodles Challenge #2 - Watercoloring

Hello there.  I’m back again with my card for the second Jane’s Doodles challenge and the theme this time is Watercoloring.

I used another new stamp set and created this clean and simple (CAS) card.

Stamped the Plumeria on Bristol paper in the upper right corner with Archival black ink.  It’s probably my favourite black waterproof ink.  Watercoloured the image with Zig markers and a waterbrush. Let it dry.

Masked the image next and blended Peacock Feathers distress ink with a blender brush for the background.  Flicked on some water and added white and black splatters to give it texture.  Die cut out with a stitched rectangle die.  Trimmed a black panel that is 1/8” larger and offset them for interest.  Finished off with some clear shimmer on the flowers and a few clear rain drops.

Now it’s your turn.  You have two weeks.  Simply create a new project following the theme and use at least one Jane’s Doodles product for your chance to win a $30 gift certificate to her store.  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Gorgeous watercoloring and ink blending, Trina! The water spatters and ink splatters make the background so rich and interesting. The light yellow flowers are so pretty and I love the way (angled) you placed the front panel over the black matte.
