Hello there. Do you, or know anyone who celebrates Hanukkah? If so, Whimsy Stamps (WS) has just released a couple of products for the occasion. This is my first time creating Hanukkah cards and based on what I’ve seen, most cards are blue and white… so that is the colour palette I chose.
This super easy mini slimline card features the new Hanukkah Lights stamp set. The blue paper is from the gorgeous Blurry Flurries 6x6 paper pack. It was trimmed to 3”x6” and the white Mini Slim Pickens 1 window panel was adhered on top.
Using my MISTI, the images / sentiment were shadow stamped by first heat embossing them with white embossing powder, then shifting the panel slightly up and to the right and re-stamping with a blue dye ink. This technique would work in reverse as well. Assembled the panel onto a white mini slimline card base measuring 3.25”x6.25” to finish.
My next super easy card features the new Menorah die. Even though it’s slightly longer than 5.5”, it does work for a standard A2 size card… like this!
The menorah was created with white glitter paper and alcohol marker friendly cardstock. Shading was added with light gray Copic Sketch markers.
For the background, took a light blue cardstock panel from my stash and ink blended Tumbled Glass and Prize Ribbon distress inks using blender brushes. Splattered with water and blot with a paper towel for texture. Sped up the drying process with my heat tool, then white heat embossed the sentiment from Hanukkah Lights to finish.
Once again, I do not know anyone who celebrates Hanukkah 🤷🏻♀️… so if you would like to receive one of these Hanukkah happy mail, please let me know by using the contact form on the sidebar 👉.
