Santa’s Here is another well designed die set. The individual pieces that would typically be of one colour are grouped together in one die! So all the red pieces were die cut from red cardstock with one die in one pass through the die cutting machin! The edges of these pieces were inked with red dye ink and his face and white pieces were coloured/shaded with Copic Sketch markers… put him together and done.
Had so much fun with Santa and wanted to see what other arm positions would work… created two more Santas and added him along with gold foiled sentiments also from my stash for two more cards! I can see a coupleh more possibilities. 😉
For the above card, the Hypnotic Background glimmer hot foil plate was hot foiled in gold to match the sentiment… although that may have been overkill. 😂 The sentiment is from Holiday Sentiment Series 2. On the card below, the Dazzling Diamonds glimmer hot foil plate was dry embossed instead of hot foiling it. Thought it looked like a cozy sweater pattern this way. The sentiment on this one is from Christmas Magic.

ReplyDeleteTrina, what beautiful holiday cards you've created with the Spellbinders sets! I love how you've sponged the edges to add dimension, then popped them up on your gorgeous backgrounds! I have Spellbinders Glimmer Machine also, but your backgrounds are much better than what I seem to be able to create. ReplyDeleteTrina what a fabulous array of cards each one is amazing. How did you get such crisp and raised dry embossing with the foil plate mine never comes out so well even with lots of shims. As always beautifully coloured and designed pieces of art. Thank you so much for sharing your art with us at Sparkles.

Wow, what a great die of Santa and also being able to use different arm positions. Love the variety of embossment folders and even the debossed of the one is different and there are times I thought the debossed side was better. Great set of cards and thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and Jingle Belles.
ReplyDeleteWOW, so much work here, and it all goes perfectly together. Your backgrounds are fabulous, and sponging the edges of the die cut pieces really makes them pop. It makes all the difference. Lots of wonderful work here, and great take on the challenge. Thanks so much for playing along with us over at Double D, hope we see you back again soon.
