Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero August 2024 Challenge - Sugar Sugar

Hello everyone.  It’s time for the new Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero challenge over on the Hero Arts (HA) blog.  The theme for August is SUGAR SUGAR (or something sweet).

*affiliate links used in this post when possible at no extra cost to you… thank you*

HA products used:
▪️Honey Pot fancy dies
▪️Wild Flowers Bundle stamp & die
▪️Sweet as Honey stamp (sentiment)

Could anything be sweeter than honey?  I couldn’t wait to use the honey pot die for my card.  The images and scene (minus the sky) were coloured with Copic Sketch markers.  The honey drip was hand drawn then fussy cut out before colouring it.

Copic markers used:
honey pot - E30/31/33/35/37
honey dipper - Y21, YR21/23/24/27
honey drip - Y32/35/38
flowers - Y11/15, YR24, C0/1/3
greens - YG61/63/67, G28
highlights - white gel pen

Salty Ocean distress ink was ink blended on a Bristol panel with a blender brush for the sky.  The sentiments were heat embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock, then fussy cut out.  Assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.

Two $50 gift cards to the HA online store are available to be won.  Use at least one HA brand product on your project and link it up HERE to be eligible.  More inspirations from the design team can also be seen there.  If you share on Instagram, ensure to tag @ablognamedhero with hashtags #heroarts and #staycraftychallenge.  Challenge ends at 5:00 pm PT on September 1, 2024.  Thank you for stopping by.
