Spellbinders - Home for the Holidays

Hello there.  Slowly doing some catch up projects.  I am playing with the Home for the Holidays collection released last month in July from Spellbinders (SB).

The new Argyle Plaid 3D embossing folder (EF) is up first.  Mixed media paper was embossed with the EF.  Blueprint Sketch distress ink was then ombre ink blended starting at the top.

The gorgeous Copperplate Believe sentiment (also released last month) was then pressed in black using the BetterPress (BP) system.  Santa was created from red, white, black and gold using last year’s Santa’s Here die set.  Assembled the card onto a white card base and added Capri Blue gems to finish.

My second card focuses on the new Color Mix Joy registration press plates accented with small poinsettias from the new Poinsettia Spray die set.  I only used one die here, but this die set consists of 10 dies, so lots of floral arrangement possibilities.

The J-O-Y press plates were inked with Altenew Cherry Blossoms or Coffee Break mini crisp dye inks and pressed onto a Porcelain BP A2 Cotton Card panel then fussy cut out with a thin white border.  For some sparkle, applied clear shimmer to them.  For more bling, the sub-sentiments were Gold foiled rather than being pressed.

The poinsettia pieces were die cut from white cardstovk and their centers shaded with gray dye ink.  Added Peach Blush gems to their centers for a bit more sparkle.

The Nesting Postage Label was die cut from Bristol paper next.  Masked the perimeter and ink blended light brown dye ink, fading towards the middle.  Matte onto an A2 size Kraft panel and assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.

My final card features the new Emerald Cut Labels and Tag die set and the new Christmas Greetings die set.  The Emerald Cut Label layers were die cut from light blue and white woodgrain paper.

The gingerbread cookies were die cut from Kraft cardstock using the die from last year’s Christmas Wonder die set.  Shading was then added with a Kraft dye ink and a mini blending brush.  The hats were die cut from the same light blue cardstock and white glitter paper using a die from last year’s Christmas Bird Poinsettia die set.  Copic Sketch marker B32 was used to add shading to it.  Frosting and highlight details were added with a white gel pen.

Finally, the sentiment was die cut from white glitter paper and its shadow from navy blue cardstock.  Assembled the card onto a navy blue panel and adhered to a white card base to finish.

Whew!… sorry for such a lengthy post. 😆  SB products used for my cards are linked below.  Thank you for stopping by.
