One Layer 50th Birthday

Hi everyone.  My old team at Less is More is celebrating their 8th birthday this month and I wanted to help them celebrate.  On this fortnight it's the one layer card challenge with the focus on the sentiment.  I thought I would try something different and make a sentiment only birthday card for my SIL who celebrated a milestone yesterday.  Don't worry, she doesn't mind revealing her age. *lol*😂   Here's the card.

This was super easy.  Started by scoring and folding a white top folding A2 card base from thick Whisper White cardstock.   Next created a DIY 50 number stencil by die cutting from masking paper.  Positioned it on the card base and applied Wilted Violet distress ink in an ombre with a mini blending tool.  Before removing the stencil, applied clear shimmer.

Heat embossing the sentiments with clear glitter embossing powder was all that was left to finish the card.  The ampersand and Fabulous sentiment were stamped with Versafine black ink and Happy Birthday was stamped with Wilted Violet distress oxide ink,  The card is very sparkly IRL.

Update: To be honest, I'm not a fan of one layer cards.  Most of my one layer cards will get trimmed or die cut out and re-done before it is given away.  I love handmade cards for their dimension and texture.  So I ended up die cutting it out with a stitched rectangle, stamping the beautiful image and matting it onto a dark grey panel before giving it to my SIL.

Another quick one from me.  Thank you for dropping by.
