Hello everyone. Today's post is part of a blog hop just for fun among crafty friends from this year's Eat Sleep Craft Repeat (ESCR) retreat. As I mentioned in previous posts, I was at a crafting retreat a couple of weeks ago. Last year I attended it only part time. This year I took in the whole experience, and it was so much FUN! Some of us (me especially) were suffering from FOMO (fear of missing out) 😂, so sleep was low on the agenda and looking / feeling tired became evident as the days went on. Meet the talented ladies I was so lucky and honoured to spend time and craft with. Loll's talented SIL, Alex, took this lovely photo of us.
L to R: Christine, ME, Susan, Darnell, Colleen, Loll, Bonnie, Nancy, Linda
Loll lead the charge and was instrumental in organizing and making this retreat happen. Thank you so much for your hard work, Loll! She found a large house in the beautiful Crescent Beach neighbourhood (a suburb of the Greater Vancouver area in BC, Canada), and got it for a phenomenal price, too! Every day for a week, we played with different products and learned various techniques from each other. I loved everything we did! The technique I chose to do with the group was a double embossing technique using a die and an embossing folder. My sample at the retreat was slightly different than this card I ended up with. I will explain this technique in a future post, so stay tuned.
Here are more double embossed cards.
Trina - you are here
That's it from me. If you are interested in seeing more photos from the retreat, click on the Events tab at the top of the page. Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

Such a fun way to inspire and be inspired and of course to meet up with crafty friends. I like how you've moved the sentiment to within the circle on today's card.

I LOVE your Father's Day card Trina ... and your DAD (or FIL) will too! Such a fantastic technique to create a one layer card front that looks like it has at least three layers.
This technique of embossing dies and EFs to create the fantastic focal shape is so ingenious. Thank you for sharing this with us at the retreat, Trina. All of us were wow'd and will use it again and again! xx
Oh my, how much FUN!!! :D :D I'm sure you enjoyed any single minute of this amazing meeting!!! Lovely card here and great technique!
I have seen also the Event page, how many wonderful and different creations!!!
I'm a bit jealous of you all :D LOL ... Well done!!
I knew you had magical fingers, Trina, but I didn't know you could magically turn a kitten into a puppy, lol! Your technique was amazing! I love the card I made, although I don't know why it wasn't on the mantle! It was so great seeing you again, spending the whole week with you, and sharing our Jack and Jill bathroom! I miss you!! Hugs, Dolly
You ladies are all so talented Trina, your cards are super cool - looking forward to seeing more.. I definitely love to get more use out of my tools.
Great card - to say I prefer the remake with the dog instead of the cat! Loved learning your technique - need to finish my second card from the piece I did.
Trina, I was so impressed with this technique. When I saw your card it was one of those: OMG how did she do that? When I got back to Linda's house, I scrounged around for dies that I could use...found a heart and a daisy! Now I need to turn them into cards!! Thank you for sharing that technique. I loved talking with you and getting to know your story, I am very happy to know you personally now and can call you friend!! Heart Hugs, Colleen
I'm so glad you got to spend time with these wonderful ladies and to teach and learn from them, Trina.
What a fun time with crafty friends. Love the photo and the pretty card. TFS
I had so much fun with this technique Trina. Definitely on my to do list and now I have to find some solid dies.
Great card, the perfect fathers day card :)
This technique was mind boggling at first but oh, so satisfying when we accomplished it! I enjoyed crafting with you and sadly I don't think your Copic skills rubbed off on me. Loved your Father's Day cards and you helped me get one done for my hubby. We sure had a case of FOMO didn't we, my friend!
You all sure looked like you had loads of fun and what a fun technique x
So wish I was brave enough to fly out there to attend one of these wonderful retreats with all of you!! What a great card you taught the others! xx
Trina, it was so awesome meeting you and crafting with you. I really loved your double embossing technique, but haven't gotten the correct sandwich down yet. Close but not quite. And your Father's Day card is so cute and loved seeing some of you Copic coloring.
So glad to hear that you had a fantastic time with your crafty friends at the retreat and you got to take in the whole experience this year, Trina!
Double embossed technique - I can't wait to get more details! The father's day card is so cute! Love the window.
