Birthday Party Balloons

Happy Labor Day to those who are enjoying the holiday.  With more birthdays coming up, I have a birthday card to share today.

A panel measuring 5.5" x 3.5" was trimmed from Bristol paper.  Using a DIY die cut balloon stencil that was in my stash, ink blended Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salty Ocean distress inks with blending brushes to create the background.  Spritz it with a Sparkle spray and splattered with white gouache paints to give it a confetti/party feel.

The sentiment was white heat embossed on a black strip.  YAY letters were die cut from scraps of Bristol paper and adhered to a scrap of vellum cut to a 2" square.  Attached the panel directly to a black/white split card base and popped up the vellum sentiment square with pieces of foam tape behind the letters to finish.

That's it for today!  Thank you for dropping by.

Trina, my goodness, this is a Study in Blue and a card that needs to grace the cover of a stamping magazine! The ombre hues, sediment panel, black borders, and schplatters make this such a brilliant take on the sketch! It's a winner in my book!! Hugs, Darnell
