Guest Designer for Just Us Girls Challenge #546 - Photo Week: Amusement Ride

Hello there.  I’m back with my final post as guest designer this month at Just Us Girls (JUGS).  It’s their photo week challenge #546 and here’s the photo.

I must admit I struggled with this one because I didn’t have anything amusement park related.  Even the muted colours stumped me. 😂   But then I noticed the French flag flapping away in the upper left corner and the trees / homes below and this is my card.

All stamping was done with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It cardstock.  Started by stamping the air balloon from My Favorite Things Up in the Air.  Inspired by the flag, coloured it with Copic markers then die cut out with the matching die.

Masking was then used to create the little neighbourhood with new NBUS Concord and 9 City Stacks stamp set on a stitched panel from my stash and coloured in with Copic markers as well.  Blended SU! Smoky Slate dye ink over a cloud edge stencil from Honey Bee Stamps for the sky.  Black heat embossed the sentiment from Poppy Stamps Birthday Blowout stamp set.  Adhered the panel to a white card base then popped up the air balloon with mounting tape to finish.

A big THANK YOU to Vicki and the wonderful JUGS team for having me guest design this month!   The challenges were so much fun and I was so honoured.  Hope you will join us this week with your take on the photo.  If you need more inspiration, you can check out what the talented JUGS team created over on the challenge blog HERE.  Thank you for dropping by.  Have a great weekend.

Challenges:
Watercooler Wednesday - # 281 Heidi’s All About Ocassions.

What a delightful little scene! I love those cute houses. Sometimes one get inspired by very small details. The flag made a great starting point. Maybe it would have help you to know that thisphoto is a view from Paris ... it's "La grande roue de Paris' in the "Jardin des Tuileries" and the houses are the ones of the " Rue de Rivoli" ... It was super great to have you as guestie during all this past month.
