A Golden Anniversary

Hello there.  I’ve been MIA lately due to a setback with my hip/back issue and crafting had to take a back seat (pun intended 😉).  Such a huge bummer as this is my favourite card making season! 😔   I do have some cards I’ve started already and hope to finish them up like this golden anniversary card I made for my friend’s parents.

I didn’t want to make it too frilly and feminine, so I thought the Memory Box Leafy Heart die-cut in my stash was perfect.  I just die cut it two more times from scraps of Bristol paper and stacked them for dimension.  The Impact Numbers from My Favorite Things (MFT) were then die cut from scraps of black cardstock and gold foil paper.  They were offset for a slight shadow.

The sentiment from SugarPea Designs Everyday Sentiments was heat embossed with gold embossing powder on a Bristol paper strip.  Cocoa shimmer cardstock (looks like light gold IRL) was then dry embossed with a script embossing folder (unknown).  Assembled the card onto a white top folding card base to finish.

Easy, peasy.  Thank you for dropping by.  Happy holidays!

Tremendously elegant anniversary greeting. The scripty font embossing folder works superbly here.

I am wholeheartedly sorry about your health challenges, Trina. May the coming year be substantially kinder to you on that hugely important front.
