Hello there. Popping in quickly to share the June Spellbinders Small Die of the Month. This month’s Colorblock Landscape set of 6 dies has so many possibilities… especially when it coordinates with the Clear Stamp of the Month.
The cactus die is so cute, and I had to use it for my card! I didn’t think my scene would look right in my favourite blue colour scheme, so I went outside my comfort zone and had fun creating a sunset desert scene in pinks and browns with a pop of yellow and green.
For some strange reason my photo above is a bit off. I only used solid colour paper, yet the top two pieces of the sky looks patterned. 😂 Not to worry though, the photos below will back me up. Anyway, this card was pretty straight forward. The large landscape die was used to die cut from different colour scraps to create both the ground and sky. It was like doing a puzzle.
For the cacti, shading was done with a green Copic marker while highlights were added with a white gel pen. The sentiment, heat embossed with white embossing powder, and the birds, stamped with Walnut Stain distress oxide ink, are from the Clear Stamp of the Month. Assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.
Spellbinders offers many different value club kits HERE. They are available now through June 24th, or while supplies last. Past kits may also be available HERE. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!

How pretty, Trina. It's a lovely sunset and your coloring of the cati with the shading look great.
What a wonderful desert scene, Trina! Love the cactus!
cool scene Trina, love the addition of copic accents to give a little more depth of colour. Great card :)
Awesome beautiful scene, Trina!! Love the pink, brown, and pop of green on your lovely card!!
Wow! Your desert scene is really striking with those cacti and the flying eagles! It's great how you detailed the cacti, they have a fabulous dimensional look! Love the landscape die, it seems very useful and I'm sure it could help a pile of scraps to go down :D

Such a fun and colorful Sunset Set sky and Desert scene, especially with the sweet cacti:-) Your puzzle turned out great, my friend. TFS Love and Hugs...Nancy
A wonderful dessert scene, Trina! The color combo is so pretty! It was a nice surprise that you didn’t go with blue color combo. ;-) The shading and highlighting of the cacti makes the sunset scene look so realistic!

Absolutely awesome card. It is eye-catchingly cool, creative, fresh feeling, and bursting with the spirit of the Southwest.
