Hello everyone. I’m excited to be guest designing (GD) at Time Out (TO) for their Inspired by Words challenge #214 - A day without sunshine is you know, night.
A crafty friend is going through a rough time and since she loves pinks more than blues, I created this purple-y pink night scene card for her.
A moon mask was die cut from masking paper using a Circle Basics die by Memory Box (MB). Adhered the mask onto a Bristol panel, then ink blended Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserves and Black Soot distress ink (DI) using blender brushes and blending foams to create the night sky. Die cut the panel with an A2 Stitched Rectangle Set 1 die from My Favorite Things, then splattered it with water and blot with a paper towel for some texture. Set aside to dry.
The MB Woodland Branch was then die cut twice from black cardstock and one modified one of them with scissors. The flowers from Spellbinders Mini Blooms and Sprigs were die cut from white cardstock and coloured with Copic Sketch markers RV63, RV66 and RV69. Once the panel was completely dry, the sentiment from Thoughtful Messages by Simon Says Stamp was heat embossed with white embossing powder. Assembled the card onto a white card base and added clear shimmer to the flowers for a bit of sparkle to finish.
I want to thank the TO team for having me as their guest. CAS-ual Fridays Stamps is sponsoring this challenge and is giving the winner a $25 credit to their online store. The winner will also have the opportunity to GD on a future TO challenge. Need more inspirations to join in the challenge? Check out the inspirations from the design team HERE.
