Mother’s Day Bouquet

Hello there.  It’s Mother’s Day here today and I want to wish all the moms, especially my amazing mom, a well-deserved fabulous day!  My mom is out of town so thank goodness for FaceTime. 🤗   Anyway, no surprise I have my mom’s Mother’s Day card to share today.  I used Hero Arts Bouquet Accessories fancy dies to give her a dozen paper roses .… unfortunately, she will be receiving them late. 🙈

Our favourite colour is blue, but the polka dot bouquet wrap from my stash was already inked with Spun Sugar distress ink (DI), so I went with it.  Besides, it was die cut from the last scrap of polka dot resist paper I’ve had for over a decade so there were none left for me to redo in blue. 😂  The bouquet flowers/foliage were all die cut from scraps of alcohol marker friendly cardsrock and coloured with Copic Sketch markers.

The background panel was also from my stash and it is Bristol paper embossed with a script embossing folder (unknown).  I just blended Spun Sugar DI on the upper left corner.  The sentiments (retired) were heat embossed with gold embossing powder on a scrap of Bristol paper then trimmed to strips.  The letters “mom” were die cut from Memory Box gold Polished Foil paper using Bold Amazing Greeting Word Plate dies by The Ton.  Assembled the card onto a white card base and added clear shimmer to the roses to finish.

H

So a lot of paper scraps and leftover pieces (Alice, I tried 🤷🏻‍♀️) were used here even though my scrap pile doesn’t look like it was even touched. 😆  Thank you for joining me today.  For those who are celebrating, happy Mother’s Day.  Have a wonderful day everyone.

Well done Trina, not only for this amazing sweet card, but also for all the scraps and leftover used!! :D And yes, it's normal what it seems you: an untouched pile of scraps :D LOL- It takes perseverance -LOL again :D but the The only way I know to see the stack decrease is to cut many shapes and set them aside in a binder and THEN use them. :D
However, LOVE all that pink and I'm sure your Mum will love it too! :) Fabulous textures too! The bunch of roses has a great dimension and such fabulous idea is the bouquet wrap!! I think I will copy it!
Hugs and happy Mother Day!

What a gorgeouslyfeminine design Trina! I love your details - the inky blend, the embossed script background, that fabulous bouquet of wrapped roses, but most of all I love the clever design where the sentiment fits the space you left for it so perfectly and balances the other elements beautifully. Thank you for playing with my board at TicTac Toe this week. Vicky x
