Dudley Art

Hello there.  Dudley from Whimsy Stamps (WS) Dudley Art stamp set is back today showing off his artistic skills!  Here he’s practising his brush strokes on this easy CAS (clean and simple) card.

Stamped Dudley on alcohol marker friendly cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured in with Copic Sketch markers.

The brush stroke from new Paint Brush Strokes stamp set was then stamped with Altenew Glacier Caves dye inks across the top.  Used the hidden die cut technique (with a black layer underneath for dimension) to die cut the Happy Large Word die from it to finish.  Easy-peasy!

So after all that practising, he became more confident and decided to do some graffiti art!… hope he doesn’t get arrested for it.  😂

A mini slimline panel was die cut from alcohol marker friendly cardstock using the Mini Slim Rounded Stitched die.  Stamped the greetings from new Sentiment Tiles-Heartfelt Thoughts stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the panel and on masking paper.  Fussy cut out the ones on masking paper and masked the greetings on the panel.  Ink blended Gathered Twigs and Rusty Hinge distress inks over a Brick Pattern stencil.  Splattered with diluted black gouache paint.

Copic coloured the greetings next, then added a thick black shadow behind them with a permanent black pen,  Dudley was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of alcohol marker friendly cardstock, coloured with Copic Sketch markers, then fussy cut out.  Assembled the card onto a white 3”x6” card base.  Stamped the brush stroke under “you rock” in black then added highlights with a white gel pen to finish.

So talented and adorable, isn’t he? 😂  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Both cards are so cute, Trina! I wish I could improve my painting skills as quickly as the dragon! :-D Love your beautiful coloring and ink blending. I'm impressed with all the wonderful details like the black layer under HAPPY, the black brush stroke, the highlights and the splatters!

Dudley turns out to be very helpful in creating cards :-) But sometimes he gets out of hand by doing gaffitti. Another amazing cards using this sweet set of stamps. I love your coloring on both cards.
