It Means No Problems

Hello there.  Happy Independence Day to my American neighbours to the south… hope you all are having a wonderful holiday.  I’m popping in today to share a cute card featuring the Generations dies and Chippy Paint Background stamp from the latest Whimsy Stamps (WS) release.

The Lion King, in particular the Hakuna Matata song portion of the movie, immediately jumped to mind as soon as I saw the Generations die set.  The cub was die cut 3x from black cardstock and stacked for dimension.  The Chippy Paint Background was then heat embossed with clear embossing powder on a Bristol panel then cut into 1-1/4” strips.   Applied Mustard Seed, Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge distress inks (DI) to the strips for an ombré.  Wiped off excess ink with a paper towel for the emboss resist technique.

The Bold ABC letters were then die cut from these strips and glued onto an A2 size black panel.   The sunset part is Bristol paper ink blended in a semi circle with Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade DI.  Black Soot DI was applied along the bottom.  A black pen was used to draw the grass and music notes to finish.

So is the song stuck in your head now?… sorry, but at least it’s a fun tune. 😂  Thank you for dropping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Amazing design, Trina!! Love that song and how I'll have it in my head all day. :) I love the colours you've used for your lettering and background. So bright and beautiful, especially against the contrasting black. The chippy paint background is just perfect to add something special to the large letters. So creative, my friend! xx

Love that song - my chorus did that one, as well as "Can you feel the Love Tonight" years ago - so fun! And your card couldn't be any cuter, Trina - love the lettering on the sentiment and the sweet lion cub!!
