Spellbinders - Celebrate the Season

Hello there.  I’m back today to share more Christmas in July cards using products from Spellbinders Celebrate the Season collection this time.  The lights from More Holiday Decorations were combined with the Mix & Match Holiday Greetings to create two cards.

On this rainbow lights card, the flat side of the Forevergreen embossing folder (EF) was inked with light gray dye ink using a rubber brayer.  Inserted a piece of Bristol paper into the EF and ran it through the Platinum 6 machine.  The top layer of the lights were die cut from white glitter paper and coloured with Copic Sketch markers.  The rest of the die cut pieces were die cut from Bristol paper.  Coloured the strings with a C00 Copic Sketch marker.

The glow from the lights were created with distress inks using finger brushes.  The Mix & Match sentiment was die cut a few times from thick white paper and once from gold mirror paper, then stacked for dimension and a floating effect.  Assembled the card to finish.

This next card was a lot simpler.  This is a 5.5” square card.  The Woodland Wreath was die cut twice from thick white paper and offset to give a fuller look.

Blue foil paper was used instead of glitter paper.  Assembled onto white woodgrain paper and added blue jewels to finish.

And that does it for Christmas in July from me.  But you can see more inspirations HERE and shop the holiday collections HERE.  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Love, love, love these rainbow Christmas lights, Trina! The blue lights on the wreath are special too. I always love your non-traditional colors on Christmas colors!

The colored, glittery lights are lovely. I like the Forevergreen e/f so much. The way you showed the shine from the lights is clever. Trina, that white wreath with those blue lights and gems is truly awesome. It's my favorite card you've made.

Both your cards are so beautiful and sparkling, Trina! A lot of work for the first one, you are a so patient crafter!! The second one is more simple, but very effective too! (and it's my fav. Strange uh? LOL :D )
Hugs, have a lovely weekend!

Both Christmas cards are so pretty and they have wonderful backgrounds with dimension, Trina! The added glow makes your card so special, and the shiny blue foil lights and jewels make the card Trina's. :-)

Two beautiful cards. I love the bleeding effect of the colors on the first tab. This reminds me of how in winter the colors of the light bulbs color the snow that covers them. I love this Christmas memory. In the second tab, your bulbs look so amazing when cut out of blue mirror cardboard.
