I coloured the Good Grief words first with Copic Sketch markers… which I realized was a mistake. 😝 Why? I didn’t have a matching ink colour to ink blend for the background. I ended up using a mixture of blue, green and aqua dye inks to ink blend on a slimline (3.5”x8.5”) Bristol paper panel. Spritz it with water and blot with a paper towel for some texture.
Stamped the “thoughts” from the same set and die cut out using Comic Speech Bubbles dies. Die cut the Slimline Marquee from black cardstock then assembled the card to finish.
Here’s the other card.
Learned my lesson from the first card and ink blended the background first with Tumbled Glass, Prize Ribbon and Chipped Sapphire distress inks. Used these same inks to ink blend on the Eek! words for an instant match! To ground the image, ink blended over a DIY grass edger stencil. Stamped and die cut out the speech sentiment, then assembled the card to finish.
So fun! Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

Cracks me up, Trina. This is just so fun. Your coloring and background are gorgeous. I love this card.
You are very good with fun cards Trina! :D Two really cute and funny works, and well done for the background of the slimline, it's just perfect! Great colouring as always!!

Those snarky ghosts are too funny and you did a great job with them, Trina - love the shades of blue!!
Cute ghosts and fun sentiments in speech bubbles, Trina! The matching background and the die-cut sentiments worked so well! Great job of creating the matched green background for the first card. The stenciled grass on the second card is a wonderful touch. And I love how you added highlights to the sentiments!
These are both fun, Trina! I love your inking and the whimsical ghosts with the funtastic sayings!
