Santa’s Sleigh

Hello there.  I have a couple more inspirations from Whimsy Stamps (WS) October 20 release.  This time I’m featuring the Santa’s Sleigh dies set.  For my first card, I used just the sleigh to create a CAS (clean and simple) card.

The sleigh was die cut from both red cardstock and red foil paper.  Mounted the red foil trim on top of the other red cardstock trim to give it some dimension.  For additional dimension, ink blended red dye ink along the edges of the red cardstock inside sleigh piece using a foam blending tool.  The mount bracket and toy sack from Santa’s Sleigh Mini Accessories die set were die cut from gold foil paper.

Heat embossed the sentiment from Santa’s Magic stamp set with gold embossing powder on Bristol paper, then die cut out with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle die.  Matte onto a gold foil panel approximately 1/8” larger, then  adhered onto a white card base to finish.

I wasn’t going to share my first version, which I thought was too dramatic even for an unconventional colour Christmas card, but now I don’t mind it… as much. 😂  The sleigh here was made from gold foil and gold glitter paper.

My next card used just the reindeer dies in the set along with the Holiday Snowglobe stamp set and matching dies released previously.

The reindeer and snowglobe base were die cut from alcohol marker friendly cardstock then coloured in with Copic Sketch markers.  Heat embossed the sentiment from Happy Sayings stamp set with Liquid Platinum embossing powder on the snowglobe base.  The globe frame was then die cut from Bristol paper using the two globe dies.

Took the smaller globe die next and die cut a globe stencil from acetate so that the scene can be created inside it.  Masked a snowy hill then stamped and clear embossed the trio of trees.  Ink blended Salvaged Patina and Shaded Lilac distress ink for the backgrounf.  The clear embossing protected the trees from the ink.  Assembled the card onto a white card base, then added snow with a white gel pen to finish.

Your first sleight looks wonderful and so elegant with the red foil paper edges and love the golden border! A fabulous CAS and my favourite of today sharing!
The second one seems a trick to have a treat with that unusual background LOL, I think you are still in Halloween mode :D LOL but it's gorgeous too!! Love the shine and sparkling that made the sleight really pop against the black and that lovely blue shining shade! Well done sharing it!!
The snow globe card is cute and delicate, your colouring is fabulous as always and love the falling snow!

A very stylish and elegant Christmas card. I love how the railing in the first sled shines. The second card does have a lot of drama, but it looks just as elegant. And the third card, like the icing on the cake. Masterpiece!
