Let It Snow

Hello there.  I have another Christmas card to share today using this snowflake design in the Whimsy Stamps (WS) A2 Festive Holidays toner pack…

…to create this fun non-traditional colour Christmas card.

The toner panel was foiled with iridescent Decofoil (since it was already out from my last card).  Want it to stand out more, so ink blended Wilted Violet and Villainous Potion distress inks (DI) to it and wiped off excess ink with a paper towel.  The Let It Snow words were then die cut from Bristol paper and black cardstock.  Coloured the bottoms of the words with Shaded Lilac DI using a finger brush.  Offset with the black die cuts for a drop shadow and then adhered onto the oval base layer which was also die cut from Bristol paper.

Was going to mount everything onto a white card base to finish, but then decided to turn it into an easel card.  An oval shaped base was created by die cutting a folded piece of thick white paper and making sure the cutting edge extended past the fold.  Fold the front in half and attached the sentiment oval piece to the bottom half of the fold.  Stamped the snowflake from Holiday Snowglobe in purple and die cut out with its matching die to act as the stopper and that finishes the card!

Wow Trina, your creative juice is always abundant! :D Not only an unusual Christmas colour for the foiled background, but an easel inside it! Love the idea and the effect, you are a genius. How cute is that little snowflake to keep the easel opened! :)

Wonderful use of shades of purple - love the way you did the sentiment with it! A beautiful design with the snowflake background and the easel sentiment.

The feeling is really great. Large letters allow for such stunning coloring as on your cards!
