Hello there. I’m back today to highlight the new A2 Antique Frames die set from Whimsy Stamps (WS) latest release. I’m using it with the Polar Opposites stamp set again to create this.
The frame was die cut from Bristol paper using the second and third largest dies. The background is Blissful Blues pattern paper die cut out with the second largest die. Used the Winter Wonderland stencil to add icicles to the top by applying VersaMark ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. Re-inked with VersaMark and embossed this time with clear glitter embossing powder to give it a sparkly chilly look.
The images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly cardstock, coloured with the following Copic Sketch markers, then fussy cut out.
Red - R35, R37, R39
Orange - Y17, YR09, R05
Ice - B0000, B000, B00
Bears - W00, W01, W03
Black - 100
The ice fishing bear on the right is from Sheltering Love stamp set released last month. Stamped the sentiment in black and assembled to finish.
I had not planned on doing a third card with the Polar Opposites stamp set, but these leftover unused pieces (image, frame, Swiss dots panel and snow sentiment) from previous cards kinda just fell into place for this card.
The inner Mini Slim Swiss Dots panel was ink blended with Salvaged Patina and Uncharted Mariner distress inks (DI) then glued behind the A2 Antique Frame that was die cut with the largest and third largest dies. Snow from the Let It Snow die set was die cut from silver foil paper and black cardstock and offset for a drop shadow..
Trimmed a piece of Bristol paper to A2 size next and ink blended Uncharted Mariner DI around the perimeter. Adhered the Swiss dots frame in the middle then stamped the sentiments from You’re Birthday stamp set in black. Assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.

Those are such adorable images Trina ♥
It looks like you're having so much fun with these images, Trina! And I'm having fun seeing them!
You make the cutest cards, Trina!
Amazing cards, Trina. The background of the first card kept my attention for many minutes. I am stunned by the multitude of details, and when I look at the block of ice, I have the impression that it is a photograph, not a colored stamp. You captured the actual appearance of the ice cube perfectly. Big WOW!
Adorable Winter themed cards; great coloring and sentiments!
Thank you for sharing with us at the Cut it Up challenge blog for our Winter challenge.

These are adorable. I love the way you created the icicles in the first, and your over the edge placement of your little scene. Love the polkadots in the second and your coloring is stellar, as always. Thanks for playing with us at Time Out.
