Doggie Flight Slimline Valentine

Hello there.  I’m back with more inspiration from Whimsy Stamps (WS) latest Valentine’s release.  The Doggie Flight stamp set is super cute and I used it with the new slimline SurReally Cool Sweetheart papers to create this Valentine’s card.

The original dog image holds a kite, but after stamping him with Memento Tuxedo Black (MTB)  ink on alcohol marker friendly cardstock (AMFC) and colouring him with Copic Sketch markers (E30, E31, E23, E27), he was fussy cut out without the kite.  The “heart-shaped balloon” was fussy cut out from one of the pattern papers (PP), adhered onto a scrap of AMFC, then fussy cut out again to give it a white border.

The Happy Large Word was then die cut from the bottom of that same PP as the balloon and from white cardstock to offset for a highlight shadow.  The sentiment from Happy Sayings was white heat embossed on the PP below where Happy was die cut out, and cut to a strip.  To help the sentiment stand out better, it was adhered to vellum.  Die cut the Slimline Clouds from Bristol paper, then assembled the card onto a different PP in the pack to finish.

That does it for my card today.  To see the January new release products, click HERE. Thank you for stopping by.

I just adore this!! Wow! It's so happy, cheerful and cute! The rays behind the clouds look fabulously and very well done to put that big balloon heart instead the kite, it's just perfect for Valentine! Beautiful sentiment and that doggie.... Awwwww... just LOVE him!!!

I can't stop admiring the look of this balloon. It looks so naturalistic, the chiaroscuro play is simply stunning!
