Love Heart

Happy weekend everybody.  I’m popping in quickly to share more inspiration from Whimsy Stamps (WS) first release of the year!  It is packed with Valentine / love related products.  However, I decided to stretch the new Love Heart die to create a sweet winter card instead.

Used the die to die cut from alcohol marker friendly cardstock and then coloured the background with RV55 Copic Sketch marker.  Coloured a piece of scrap with the same marker and white heat embossed the sentiment from Simple Sentiment Strips on it.  The pink snowy background is from my favourite Blurry Flurries 6x6 paper pack.

The image from Sheltering Love was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, coloured with Copic Sketch markers then die cut out with its matching die.

Copic Sketch markers used:
Accessories - BG10, BG11, BG13, BG15, BG09
Bears - W00, W1, W3, W5
Cheeks - R81

Used the Stitched Border Die Trio to die cut a snowy ground.  Assembled the card onto a white card base and added shading beneath the image with C00, C1, C3, and C5 Copic Sketch markers to finish.

Had not planned on making a second card, but then I was inspired by wood carving.  Didn’t have any wood backgrounds in my supplies (will have to remedy that 😉*lol*), so created it by die cutting Kraft cardstock with the Slimline Fence die set.  For dimension, applied Gathered Twigs distress ink (DI) to them.  The wood strips were then attached to printer paper slightly smaller than A2 size before die cuttimg the Love Heart from the centre of it.

Die cut the Love Heart from a scrap of Kraft paper and coloured the letters with Gathered Twigs DI.  Adhered the wood background to a sand colour card base, then used the negative to help inlay the letters into the open space to finish.  This looked better in my head. 😂*lol*
