Fox Family

Hello and happy St. Patrick’s day to those who celebrate.  No Paddy’s day card today.  I’m popping in to share more inspiration from Whimsy Stamps (WS) March 10th release featuring the adorable new Fox Family stamp set.  Had set out to create a forest camping scene, but ended up with a roasting marshmallow in a field at dusk scene instead. 😂*lol*

All fox images in the set were placed in the MISTI and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly cardstock, coloured with Copic Sketch markers, then fussy cut out.

Copic markers used:
fox body - E00, E02, E11, E13, E09, Y38
fox paws/feet - C6, C8
fox whites - C0, C2
fire - Y13, R27
fire glow - Y11
rocks around fire - W1, W3, W5
tree trunk - E31, E23, E27

Bristol paper was then trimmed to 3.25”x8.25”.  To plan out my scene, the images were  stamped directly onto the pane so I know where to ink blend.  They will be covered by their fussy cut counterparts.  Ink blended Brushed Corduroy distress ink (DI) around the fire first.  Took the slope die from SL Scenic Cointryside to die cut top and bottom masks from acetate.  Masked the sky and ink blended Rustic Wilderness and Black Soot DI for the remainder of the ground.  Added grass blades with a G99 Copic Sketch marker.  Masked the ground next and ink blended Chipped Sapphire DI for the sky.

Used the Winter Wonderland stencil and Black Soot DI to stencil for the pine tree forest backdrop.  Die cut the Happy Large Word from white and black card stock to offset for a drop shadow.  Not sure what type of card this will be, so left the sentiment blank.  For a bit of interest, die cut the panel with the new SL Honeycomb die.  Die cut it again from thick white paper to incorporate the eclipse die cut technique.  Assembled the card onto a SL (3.5”x8.5”) card base and added stars with a white gel pen to finish.

Had two coloured images left over, so used one of them to create a super CAS (clean and simple) Mother’s Day card.  Will have to figure out something for the last image. 🤔

Started by die cutting the letters in the Love Heart die 3x from white scraps to stack for dimension.  The letters were deconstructed from their original heart shape for my design.

Y

Ink blended Salvaged Patina DI onto an A2 Bristol panel next.  Splattered with water and diluted Uncharted Mariner DI.  Stamped the sentiment in black then assembled the card onto a white card base.  Added a few clear sparkly sequins to finish.

Awww... These foxes are really cute, and such adorable scenes you created with them! The CAS for Mother Day is really sweet, how clever using the LOVE letters to build another shape and the splatters look really well to add some interest to the back!
Very interesting also the honeycomb diecut panel of the first one, and the landscape.... you just nailed it! Love so much the glow around the fire!!

You have an amazing talent to create such amazing scenes. I admire every detail you created. I realize that the execution of such a scene involves determining the order in which the individual elements are created. I am even more impressed. And the second card is so cute and I love its colors.
