Whoopsie

Hello everyone.  I have more inspirations from Whimsy Stamps (WS) last release to share today.  I played with the “chicks” (technically they are ducks) from the new Whoopsie stamp set to create a mini slimline (SL) card.

The images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly cardstock, coloured with Copic Sketch markers, then fussy cut out.

Copic markers used:
ducks - Y11, Y13, Y17,V01, YR02, YR07
egg - 0, C00, C0, C2

Next, Bristol paper was trimmed to mini SL size (3.25”x6.25”).  Picked Raspberry distress ink (DI) was then ombré ink blended on starting at the top.  Splattered with water and blot with a paper towel for texture.  Die cut the mini SL Pickens 1 from a white scrap.  Used it as a guide to position the sentiment and heat embossed it with Liquid Platinum embossing powder onto the back panel.  Assembled the card onto a white mini SL card base then added clear sparkly sequins to finish.

I didn’t want the last duck in the set to suffer from FOMO (fear of missing out 😂*lol*), so I created a CAS (clean and simple) belated birthday card with him.

The images were previously coloured and fussy cut out as mentioned above.  Oops! was then die cut from white and black cardstock to offset for a drop shadow.  Ombré ink blended Wilted Violet DI onto the white pieces.

Stamped the secondary sentiments from Doggie Naughty stamp set in black on an A2 size white panel, then assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.  The ashamed duckling was popped up with foam squares.

These ARE the cutest chicks, Trina! How fun that you made a mini story using the three windows! And what a creative belated birthday card, using the "see no evil" duck! Love the great design too!

The ducks are adorable and I love both cards! I was thinking the sentiment referred to your gal friends as chicks - I don't think guys refer to girls anymore as chicks. Oh well. Just so darn cute.

So glad you joined us at Die Cut Divas for our “Anything Goes” challenge.
