Happy Koality Birthday

Hello there.  I have a couple of birthday cards to share today featuring products from Whimsy Stamps last release.

The new Happy Birthday Coverplate die made this first card super easy.  It was die cut 3x from thick white paper then mounted onto Blissful Blues pattern paper that was trimmed down to A2 size.  And voila — done!  There are so many ways you could dress this up.

The second card features the new Koala Birthday stamp set.

Stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly cardstock, coloured them in with Copic Sketch markers, then fussy cut out.

Copic markers used:
koala - C00, C1, C3, C5, 100, R20
branch - E30, E31, E23, E27, E29
leaves - YG61, YG63, YG67

Next, took a Bristol panel from my stash and die cut an opening with a Basic Stitched  Ovals die.  Stencilled the background piece with a blender brush, Salty Ocean distress ink, and the It’s Cloudy stencil.  Stamped the sentiment in it in black then assembled the card onto a white card base, popping the panel up with foam adhesives.

Wow! That big sentiment die is striking and seems so useful! Love the starry background!
But that koala card oh my, how much cute is it?? ! :D Absolutely adorable little critters, the koala mum with the flowers on her head and the tiny little baby on her back is TOO CUTE!!! And the koala daddy with his hat hanging from the branch looks so FUN! :D Love the idea of the oval stencilled aperture and the koalas on the corners, such fabulous design!!
Your colouring is perfect as always!

Fabulousness abounds with these two super cards, you are the queen of colour !!The background on the first is so vivid, twinkly, and bold that coupled with the white sentiment is a great contrast. The gorgeous sky on the second with your cute koala who looks like he is hanging on for dear life to the branch really made me smile.

Both birthday cards are fabulous, Trina! The star background is festive and makes the card look like a shaker card. The koalas are so cute and I love the layout of the card!

The first card, although quick and easy, is still very effective. I also love the second card, those koalas are so cute.
