Sweet Strawberries

Hello everyone.  It’s May 1st and Whimsy Stamps (WS) has a new release today!  I used the new Sweet Strawberries stamp set to create a sweet circle card.

Stamping with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and masking was done to create this grouping of strawberries.  Coloured the “newly-created” image with Copic Sketch markers, then fussy cut out.

Copic markers used:
strawberries - R02, R14, R46, R39
bow - R81, R83, R85
stem/leaves - YG61, YG63, YG67
basket - E30, E31, E23, E27

Stamped the Criss Cross Gingham background onto white cardstock using a pink dye ink then die cut out with the largest Pierced and Stitched Circles die.  Stamped the sentiment in black onto white cardstock, die cut out with the third largest circle die, then blended Twisted Citron distress ink onto it.  Partial die cut a white circle card base with the largest circle die before assembling the card to finish.

Here’s a collage of some inspirations from the design team.

You use masking technique so effectively, Trina! What makes this card so cute is that you made the bunch of strawberries clustered together, instead of using the stamps separately! The light pink gingham background is perfect for the cute strawberries.
