Hello everyone. The August 1st release from Whimsy Stamps (WS) welcomed in fall. With all the fires, drought and heat we’re experiencing here lately, fall cannot come soon enough! My card today commemorates back to school and features the adorable new Back to School Dragons stamp with new Mixed Media Bits stamp.
The images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly cardstock, coloured with Copic Sketch markers then fussy cut out.
Copic markers used:
aquas - G00, BG11/34/49
yellows - Y11/13/19
dark blues - B37/39
light blues - B02/05
violet - V04
reds - R24/46/39
greens - YR61/67
grays - C1/3/5/6
shading - C0/1/2/3
For the background, Sahara Sand dye ink was blended over a Brick Pattern stencil with a blender brush. Tried the VersaMark resist technique with the brick image from the new Mixed Media Bits stamp set, but it didn’t work out so switched to the stencil instead. Did stamp the XOXO from that set in black directly on the stencilled brick background.
White heat embossed the sentiments on black cardstock and die cut the slimline (SL) Marquee frame from Bristol paper. Assembled the card onto a white SL card base measuring 3.5”x8.5” to finish.

Despite the terrible heat, I love the summer and I am in no hurry that it ends. And as I'm a teacher, I'm in no hurry to start school again LOL :D
However, your back to school card is SO cute with those fun Dragons and their sentiments! Love the xoxo with the hearts for the "o" and the brick wall stamp!And as always fabulous colouring!
