Occasions Circles

Hello there.  It’s still October 7 here, so happy World Card Making Day (WCMD)! 😉  I’m popping in to share inspirations from Whimsy Stamps (WS) latest mini release.  Featuring the new Occasions Circles stamp set with the new Loopies die set, I made a CAS (clean and simple) birthday card.

The birthday circle sentiment was stamped with VersaMark ink on black cardstock, heat embossed with white embossing powder, then die cut out with a Pierced and Stitched Circle die.  The Loopies strands were die cut from alcohol marker friendly cardstock and coloured with Copic Sketch markers.

Copic markers used:
blues - B00/02/05/06
purples - V01/04/15/17
aquas - BG01/53/57/09

For some shine, stars were die cut from silver foil paper using the slimline Stars Background die.  Assembled the card onto a white card base then added highlights with a white gel pen to finish.

For my second card, I also used the new Twinkle Swirl background die with the two new products above to create a sparkly Christmas card.  The die is A2 size, but I wanted more of the white glitter paper to show so the Bristol paper was trimmed to 4x5.25-inch before running it through the die cutting machine with the die.

The circle sentiment here was heat embossed with clear embossing powder on a scrap of Bristol paper and ink blended with the Cherry Blossom crisp dye inks from Altenew.

Two pieces of the Loopies diecuts here were coloured with RV02/63/66/69 Copic Sketch markers and altered slightly to form the bow.  The string was cut with the paper trimmer and coloured with RV63 Copic Sketch marker.  Assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.

The October 2023 new release products can be seen HERE.  WS products used for my cards are linked below.  Thank you for stopping by.

Wow, those Loopies strands seem just real, such great illusion of dimension with your wonderful colouring! And the silver stars look perfect with your design. A very modern CAS for a birthday!
Love the Christmas card with that swirly background and the sparkling! The sentiment seems really a bauble, great 3D look again with your inking! How fun that you made the bow with the loopies! So cute!

Oh, Trina! Love these Loopies and how you shaded them to look so dimensional. This circle stamp works perfectly for a Christmas ornament too! The ornament is done in one of my favorite colors. Thanks for playing at Seize the Birthday!

It's hard to believe that you colored these streamers yourself. They look like they were cut from designer paper.
The second card is equally beautiful. Wonderful CAS cards
