Blitzened

Hello there.  I have a fun Christmas card to share today featuring the new Blitzened stamp set from Whimsy Stamps (WS) latest release.  It’s a rare sighting of Santa and Blitzen (Rudolph decided to stay home 😉) out at a local bar …this might explain how Blitzen got his name. 😂

So images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly cardstock, and masked using their coordinating NoFuss Masks.  Masked off the “bar table” then two gradient colours of gray dye inks were ink blended over a Giraffe stencil (love to stretch my supplies) to create the cobblestone wall background.  Before removing the stencil, splattered it with diluted Black Soot distress ink and black gouache paint for texture.

Removed all masks and coloured the scene in with the following Copic Sketch markers:

reds - R14/27/37/39
browns - E30/31/23/25/27/29/49
skin - E51/53/11/04
beer - Y21, YR21/23
shading - C00/1/3/4
black - C9

Merry” and Be were die cut from red and black cardstock, respectively.  Assembled onto a white card base, then added Nuvo Crystal Glaze to them for some shine to finish.

The November new releases can be viewed HERE.  WS products used for my card are linked below.  Thank you for stopping by.

And such amazing 3D effect with that stone wall and the glossy sentiment! Nobody would know you used a giraffe skin stencil to make the stones, wow! You are the Queen of Stretching Stash Supplies!!

Love that background, Trina! I hope Santa and Blitzen sober up by Christmas! I guess they need a little relaxation before the holiday rush!
