Hello there. I have one final design team inspiration card to share today for the December DECK THE HALL Stay Crafty challenge over on the Hero Arts (HA) blog.
HA products used:
▪️Peeking Snowman fancy dies
▪️Snowy Night letterpress and foil plate
▪️Elegant Window fancy die
▪️Holly Berries stamp & cut XL (sentiment)
When my initial idea was unsuccessful , a Peeking Snowman leftover piece in my stash came to the rescue and here’s the result! 😉
If I remembered correctly, the snowman was die cut from X-Press It paper and the nose colouring and white shading were done with Copic Sketch markers The scarf and hat were ink blended with Lumberjack Plaid and Black Soot distress inks. The window was also die cut from X-Press It paper and shaded with Copic Sketch markers. A second window was die cut from thick white paper to stack for dimension.
Copic markers used:
nose - Y38, YR07, E08
shading - C00/1/2/3
For the background, the beautiful Snowy Night letterpress/foil plate was inked with Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink and pressed into an A2 size Porcelain cotton card panel using the BetterPress System. Stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto a white woodgrain panel then heat embossed with clear glitter embossing powder for a bit of sparkle. Trimmed the snowy background to window size and assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.
Enter by 5:00 pm PT on Sunday, January 5, 2025, for a chance to win one of two $50 gift cards to HA. Use at least one HA brand product to qualify. If sharing on Instagram, please tag @ablognamedhero and include hashtags #heroarts and #staycraftychallenge. Thank you for stopping by.
