Whimsy Stamps - Monsters Close

Happy Halloween to all who celebrate.  And on that note, I have a gruesome in a funny kinda way Halloween slimline card to share using products from Whimsy Stamps(WS).

The Slimline Hourglass component were die cut from black cardstock and X-Press It paper.  The “funnel”-shape cutout was coloured with R17/29/39 Copic Sketch markers (CM) after the bloody meal he just had. ๐Ÿ˜   Copic Sketch markers C0/2 were used to define the hourglass glass thickness.  The vampire from Monsters Close Ups was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It paper and coloured with CM R14/27 for the eyes and C00/0/1/2/3 for shading.  Partial die cut him out with the hourglass die him out with the hourglass die.

The splatters of blood on the bottom part of the hourglass was stencilled in by ink blending Lumberjack Plaid DI through a Puddles stencil, then fussy cut out.  Added highlights to the spldroplets with a white gel pen.  For the background, Lumberjack Plaid and Black Soot distress inks (DI) were ink smooshed onto mixed media paper first followed by ink blending Black Soot DI around the edges.  For some texture, splattered with diluted black gouache paint.

Die cut the Batty bats from and black and Yummy from X-Press It papers.  White heat embossed “mwahahaha” on the hourglass bottom end piece then assembling the card onto a white 3.6x8.5-inch card base to finish.

WS products used for my card are linked below.  Please note affiliate links are used in this post, so if you click on them and make a purchase, I will receive a small compensation at no extra cost to you!  Your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you for stopping by.
