Hello everyone. I’m delighted to be back guest designing (GD) at Time Out (TO) for their final challenge if the year! Sponsored by Birch Press Designs with a $20 prizet to the winner, challenge #303 is a photo inspiration.
Here’s a close up.
I drew inspiration from the colours and overall sparkly vibe of the scen.
I used products from Whimsy Stamps (WS) . Stretched a couple of die sets to create the baubles from gold foil paper. The baubles are balloons from Happy Day Balloons (currently on sale) and the attachttachjent pieces are from Inverted Scallop Rectangles. The decorative gold foil paper strips were created by inking VersaMark through a Twinkle stencil then heat embossing with white embossing powder. The loops are gold cording.
For the background, Bristol paper was ink blended with Sapphire dye ink 3/4” of the way down. Made sure it was completely dry before heat embossing the sentiment and sparkle images from Cue the Confetti with white then clear glitter embossing powders. I see a lot f stock photos where ornaments fade into a soft white. I re-created that look by adhering cotton with double-sided tape. bedAssembled the card onto a white card base to finish.

I love the way you were inspired by the photo, Trina. Your card is wonderful. I love the design, and what a fabulous idea to use the cotton on double sided tape to create the fade-to-white.
