Spellbinders - Cheerful Chirps

Hello everyone.  I’m popping in to share a couple of “tweet” birthday cards featuring
the Cheerful Chirps collection from Spellbinders (SB) as part of the June 2025 release.

First up are these Pretty Birds.

The bird layers were die cut from white cardstock then ink blended with Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Abandoned Coral and Black Soot distress inks (DI).

The arch perch was die cut from gold foil paper.  The background was embossed with the Party Balloons 3D embossing folder.  Stamped the sentiments from Spread Your Wings Sentiments stamp set with Versafine Black ink and fussy cut out.  Assembled tge card not a white card base to finish.

My second card used the Flying High dies, which makes the perfect cockatoo.  The cockatoo layers were die cut from white, yellow and black cardstock.  Shading was added to the white pieces with grey dye ink.

The branch and leaves are from the same die set, while the flowers are from the die set above.  The branch was die cut from Kraft; the flowers and leaves from white.  Ink blended the leaves and flowers with Twisted Citron/Mowed Lawn and Kitsch Flamingo/picked Raspberry DI, respectively  The branch and flower centers were coloured with Copic Sketch markers E30/23/27 and Y06/YR24, respectively.

A Notched Corner frame was die cut from Bristol paper next.  Assembled all the elements onto a Pool Party panel and stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black ink to finish.

Simon Says Stamp - Monents in Time

Hello there.  I’m excited to be joining the Simon Says Stamp (SSS) Designer Family for their new Moments in Time release available now in their online shop.  It’s jam packed with a wide array of exclusive products.  I am featuring the Orange Blossom Blessing stamp set.

Here are two simple card made with it.

The flowers and foliage were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It paper and coloured with Copic Sketch markers.

Copic markers used:
petals - C00/0/1/2
centers - YR02
leaves - YG03/0709, G17

The sentiments were white heat embossed on black cardstock.  The stamp set has coordinating dies, but I don’t have them, so both the images and sentiments were fussy cut out.

Assembled the elements onto Sahara Sand and white woodgrain panels that were mounted on white card bases then applied clear shimmer on the flowers for some sparkle to finish.

Purchase any product from the new collection and receive an exclusive not-yet-released stamp ($7.99 value) for free!

Hello everyone.  I’m delighted to be guest designing (GD) at Try It On Tuesday (TIOT) this fortnight for their THINGS WITH WINGS challenge.

Here’s my card.

Nothing complicated here.  My card was created from only Bristol paper and ink blending with Wilted Violet distress ink.

All products, except for the Spellbinders Stylish Ovals, are from Memory Box.  These products are linked below.

I want to thank Helen and the TIOT team for this GD opportunity.  Hope you join in the fun.  Thank you for stopping by.

Spellbinders - Yana’s Daisies

Hello there.  I’m popping in to share a couple of cards featuring Yana’s Daisies collection by Yana Smakula released last month from Spellbinders (SB).

First up, appropriately enough, is Yana’s Daisies dies.

The floral image was die cut from white twice and ink blended with pink, yellow, orange and green dye inks.  The leaves on the second cutout were cut off and the flower outline was stacked on top of the other one.

Bristol paper was then embossed with the Argyll Plaid embossing folder for the background.  The Everyday Sentiments “thanks” was die cut from gold foil paper and its shadow from white.  Assembled the card onto a white card base then added clear shimmer to the petals to finish.

The Daisy Shower press plate takes center stage for my second card.  Inked the press plate with Wilted Violet distress oxide ink (DOX) then pressed into watercolor paper using the BetterPress Letterpress system.

There is a coordinating stencil set for this press plate, but I don’t have it, so the panel was coloured with Zig Real Brush markers instead.

The Little Hello sentiment was die cut from Bristol paper and its shadow from black.  Ombré ink blended the sentiment with Wilted Violet DOX ink and applied clear shimmer to it for some sparkle.  Assembled and mounted the card onto a white card base to finish.
