Hello there! Welcome to CAS Christmas October challenge where the theme is Birds. I couldn't resist using my all time favourite little bird peeking out from under his hat. I CASE'd my own card to make this updated version.
Stamped the bird with Copic friendly ink on X-press It cardstock, coloured with Copics then die cut out with the matching die. Die cut baby next from white and black cardstock to offset them for a shadow effect.
On an A2 size Whisper White panel, masked a subtle slope and blended Tumbled Glass distress ink with a mini blending tool. White heat emboss the sentiment from the same set on a black strip. Adhered the panel to a white card base, then assembled the card. Added snow with a white gel pen to finish. And don't be surprised if this little guy makes another appearance by the end of the week. 😉
Our August challenge winner, Sue of Sue's Card Craft, is our wonderful guest this month. As always, she and my team have made some inspiring cards over on the main blog HERE. Check them out and join us! With less than 3 months, the countdown to Christmas is on! Thank you for stopping by.

What a fun penguin image and beautifully coloured Trina, and the idea of the 'baby' die cut behind the image with the rest across the penguin works beautifully. I think the blue sky with the scattering of snow is so pretty for the background. x
Total cuteness!! This is the sweetest bird, Trina! Your colouring is impeccable as always. LOVE the special touches with the masked and sponged background with falling snow, and adding the black shadow to the die-cut letters. You always add lots of details to make your cards so special. xx
Oh my but this is ADORABLE, Trina, and it makes me smile! Love the sentiment with him and the sponged background!
super cute Trina, and of course your are the queen of copics and blending, I am always in awe:)
Just love this card...your designs always inspire me to keep it simply and use these delightful little images. tfs
The image, the sentiment and the blending is CAS perfection and so very adorable x.
I love that that the baby die isn't used for a baby card..but used for a winter card.. awesome idea and great colors.. beautiful card
This is so adorable, Trina! I'm not in the position to say this, but as much as the original card from last December is cute, your new version looks so professional! I love all those details - the falling snow, the shadow effect of the sentiment, the clean and smooth sponging, and the Copic coloring (especially the shadows of the hat's rim cast on the penguin)!
Looking forward to seeing him again this week!
Hideko xx

Absolutely fabulous card...I love your little penguin peeking out under the hat, but your background of shaded blues and the snow drops is stunning behind the die cut "baby". Awesome design!
