CAS Christmas July Reminder - Nativity

Hello everyone.  This is the reminder post for this month’s Nativity challenge at CAS Christmas.

I used the Holy Night stamp set from Jame’s Doodles this time to create my card.

I can’t believe this is my third nativity-themed Christmas card this month!  Normally, it‘s rare just to have even one in a season. 😂   Anyway, I started by masking a triangle area on a stitched Bristol panel from my stash.  Masked off sections and used blender brushes to ink blend Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon distress inks.

Dried the ink with a heat tool before stamping the images and sentiment with Chipped Sapphire distress oxide ink.  Heat embossed the star and sentiment with clear glitter embossing powder (ep) and the people with clear ep.  To finish, added white dots with a white gel pen in an attempt to give it a shiny streaming effect coming from the star... it looked a lot better in my head. 😂*lol*

The challenge ends July 24th PST.  For more inspirations from my wonderful team, click HERE.  Thank you for visiting.  Hope to see you in the gallery.

Sorry to be so late in commenting on my fellow CAS Christmas DT members' cards but my computer died and it took a while to buy a new one and get it set up. Love this card (of course I do since it's blue and white!) - wonderful dramatic triangle leading up to the star!
